At this week's CHOW we are looking at criminal justice, law & order and privacy:
What is the Christian response to the growing trend to record our lives on CCTV, records and databases? Is this a thing to be celebrated, tolerated or resisted?
Charles Farrier, an anti-CCTV campaigner and activist from the UK is in Jersey this week to present to the Jersey Human Rights Group and to Scrutiny. We have borrowed his time on Wednesday lunchtime at CHOW.
Charles will speak for 15 mins on the subject of "Why should Christians be concerned about more CCTV"
After which there will be a response from our panel of representatives from business, law enforcement and the Street Pastors.
Our Panel is:
Heather Morton – Coordinator of Jersey Street Pastors
And
Clive Forbes – Former UK Police Detective and police intelligence expert
And
The audience! – We are relying on you all for questions and comments to better understand the implications for the Christian community and for wider society.
