Lunchtime talks @ The Freedom Centre #4 - With Dr Paul Mills
Following on from last month's excellent lunchtime talk by James Featherby, we look forward to welcoming Dr Paul Mills* for our next lunchtime talk
Dr Mills was, until 2017, Senior Economist with the IMF in London. He is an internationally recognised expert on the global economy and has a particular interest in Brexit and European reform
There is much talk of a reformed EU. But how might this look from a Christian perspective? What is a Christian response to the current Brexit impasse? What role could Jersey play towards a relationally reformed EU?
Dr Mills will present his perspective on these crucially important questions and invite comments and discussion from those in attendance.
*After obtaining a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University Dr. Mills worked extensively with the UK treasury where he led policy sections managing the UK government’s financial balance sheet. He joined the IMF in early 2006 and worked on global financial stability; He went on to head the IMF’s London office, focusing particularly on the euro area crisis, financial stability, and regulatory policy. He left the IMF in 2017 to focus on writing, research and charitable work. He is an elder of Twynholm Baptist Church in Fulham
