Future 7: The View from the Outside
A Panel of Speakers with one thing in common - they are all outside the church
This week at CHOW we are taking a different angle in our "Future of the Church" series. For our penultimate session we have assembled a panel with one thing in common: they are all outside of the church.
The panel will be (with potentially one or two last minute additions):
Ramsay Cudlipp –Journalist (JEP)
Juliet Karugahe - 3rd sector Executive
Sam Mezec – Politician (St Helier no. 2)
Our panel represent more than 90% of the population of our island who do not regularly attend church. All of them have a different story to tell about their relationship with the church; a different angle of perception and a different set of objections.
This session is a chance for the CHOW community to grow in self-understanding, cultural awareness and to help those of us who are members of churches to avoid one of the greatest dangers for any organisation: institutional blindness!
We invite you to send in your questions for our panel which we will endeavour to include within the session (we will give priority to questions from within the room.)
We look forward to listening, questioning and engaging openly with our panel and we hope you can join us to do so on Wednesday
