Can Faith and Business Work Together to Combat Poverty?

With Special Guest Speaker Clive Mather, Chairman of Tear Fund

If up to 2bn in the people in the world go to bed hungry, how do we achieve lasting solutions that make economic, social and environmental sense? Is there a way that business and faith can work together to their mutual advantage?

Our speaker is Clive Mather:

Clive Mather is the Chairman of Tearfund, the international Christian relief and development agency working to eradicate poverty. He is the Chairman of the Shell Pensions Trust Ltd. managing assets of some £12 billion and the UK Shell Pension Plan Trust Limited. He is also the Chairman of Iogen Corporation, a Canadian biotech company that is the leading producer of cellulosic ethanol – a carbon neutral, renewable transport fuel. He works with non-government organisations and governments on both sides of the Atlantic on energy and environmental issues.
