The Economics of Shalom Part II: Jubilee

Dr Matt Lynch with the second of a two part seminar series

The subject of this discussion is the the biblical concept of Jubilee: a concept concerned largely with land, property rights, justice and social economics. As Matt unpacks this culturally distant section of 3000 year old agrarian law it becomes clear that it is packed full with striking implications for our contemporary economic context. You can watch part one of this seminar series here

"Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan" Leviticus 25:10
